About Us

History

In 2011, Leslie Zawada envisioned a place where employees were lifted up – a place where potential was recognized and realized. It was with that vision she established Civil Engineering Solutions, Inc. Clients appreciate her passion for helping and the creative brainstorm to work together to find solutions. An exceptional communicator and leader, Leslie exhibits the skills and the knowledge to foresee and resolve conflicts while achieving results.

Today, the staff of CES is committed to working as a team without negative internal competition. As the firm has grown, our client base has grown, too, expanding from municipalities to other government agencies. We love working for government – we believe we are working for the people– our families, friends, and neighbors – to build stronger communities and a brighter future for Michigan.

Our Team

Leslie brings over 25 years of hands-on experience as a civil engineer and development professional to projects of all complexities and sizes, from pre-design through delivery. Her ability to maintain strong communications between clients, project team members, and local government agencies are only a few of the many valuable attributes that sets CES apart.

It would be easy to presume that “the team” begins and ends with Leslie. In CES’ case, that isn’t true. Our team of professional engineers, surveyors, project managers, construction inspectors, and CAD technicians work collaboratively to understand each client’s vision and needs, then deliver client-specific solutions that are cost effective, sustainable, and achieve their goals.

Community Partnerships

We take seriously the responsibility that comes with being a good corporate citizen. We are dedicated to making a positive impact in the local communities where we live, work, and play. CES is committed to donating our time and money while supporting our clients through numerous charitable opportunities.

These are just a few organizations and activities in which we are actively engaged with throughout each year.
